As a consultant I work with clients in the non-profit and business sectors to help them amplify their impact through facilitation, convening and the use of digital and traditional communications and outreach. I help high impact organizations build on meaningful connections with their communities through the use of online tools, campaigns and community building always looking to tie efforts to clear metrics.
I work with Hollyhock to produce and facilitate the annual Social Venture Institute in Vancouver, at the Hollyhock retreat centre, in Banff and in Sonoma County. The Social Venture Institute attracts social change business leaders from around the world to develop skills, expand professional networks and deepen personal practice.
I also authored a book, The Boss of You: Everything A Woman Needs to Know to Start, Run and Maintain Her Own Business. Since the book was published, I’ve had the pleasure of speaking at conferences and events on the topic of women, small business and defining success on your own terms. My expertise in business and years of experience have also lead me to take on mentorship roles for women in business looking to further their careers.
Known for creative, thoughtful planning and implementation, and for taking an inquiry-based approach, I am committed to — and motivated by — lifelong learning. My work throughout the progressive sector has allowed me to broaden my horizons and continues to fuel my passion for positive social change. I currently sit as Board Chair for Electric Company Theatre and on the Advisory Board for Lunapads Products International.
